[Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), is releasing this Letter of Interest (LOI) to inform industry of upcoming activities related to Health Beyond.  

The CSA would like to inform industry with respect to the Government of Canada’s intention to proceed with a potential Request for Proposal (RFP) to develop an active neutron spectrometer for the Gateway-Habitation and Logistics Outpost Module (HALO) under the Lunar Exploration Accelerator Program (LEAP). LEAP is aimed at supporting Canadian firms in the development and demonstration of innovative space-based technologies that link to Canada’s participation in the Lunar Gateway. Specifically, this investment is aligned with the LEAP Health Initiative (Health Beyond) with the goal of awarding contracts for the development of health technologies for deep space missions. The project will include a Technology Demonstration of the proposed instrument aboard the International Space Station (ISS) prior to its delivery to the Gateway.]

[Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada (SPAC), au nom de l’Agence spatiale canadienne (ASC), publie la présente lettre d’intérêt (LI) pour informer l’industrie des activités à venir liées à l’initiative Nouveaux horizons en santé.  

L’ASC souhaite informer l’industrie de l’intention du gouvernement du Canada de procéder à une demande de propositions (DP) pour la conception d’un spectromètre neutronique actif pour le module de d’habitation et de logistique (Habitation and Logistics Outpost [HALO]) de la station Gateway dans le cadre du Programme d’accélération de l’exploration lunaire (PAEL). Le PAEL vise à soutenir les entreprises canadiennes dans le perfectionnement et la démonstration de technologies spatiales novatrices liées à la participation du Canada à la station spatiale lunaire Gateway. Plus précisément, cet investissement cadre avec le volet santé du PAEL (Nouveaux horizons en santé), dans le but d’attribuer des contrats pour le développement de technologies de santé pour les missions dans l’espace lointain. Le projet comprendra une démonstration de technologies de l’instrument proposé à bord de la Station spatiale internationale (ISS) avant sa mise en œuvre dans la station Gateway.]
