Posting Summary
From August 4 to September 7, we'll be accepting submissions for the second of two topics for the 2021 Open Call for Innovation. We’re looking to partner with industry leaders, innovators, academics and policymakers to collaborate on new mobility solutions that will help to enhance the livability of Metro Vancouver residents. For successful submissions, TransLink offers funding and collaboration to incubate, develop, pilot and implement your idea. We’ll work with you to make your good idea even better and help turn it into reality.

For many of us, the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic have disrupted previous patterns of life, including daily routines and travel behavior. However, with the growing success of public health measures and vaccinations, TransLink expects travel demand across Metro Vancouver to increase throughout 2021. The exact characteristics of this evolving travel demand remain uncertain as our residents and businesses are still determining whether to return to pre-pandemic patterns or to adopt new routines. We invite you to share your ideas for solving the following challenge:

How can we make the public transit system  easier to use for each of our diverse customer groups by minimizing existing and emerging pain points for travelers across the region as travel patterns evolve in 2021 and beyond?
