SMUD is requesting bids to establish a five-year agreement with one or more substation battery suppliers to support SMUD personnel with a reliable and continuous supply of substation batteries.   

The principal objective of this procurement is the vendor’s ability to deliver quality batteries to SMUD in an expeditious and efficient manner at the most economical overall cost to SMUD.    

Only bidders meeting the following minimum qualification should submit proposals:   

         
• No minimum order quantities   
         
• A strong national presence easily recognized nationwide   
         
• A full range of substation battery products   
         
• A support system to provide assistance
