This Request for Quote (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the “Province”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for the provision of Temporary Roof Girder and Suspended Slab Supports to the Department of Public Works (“DPW”), as further described in the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).  This RFQ is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual.   

The work will involve installation of a shoring system to support roof girders in the Mines Building, Stellarton, Nova Scotia to permit safe removal of museum artifacts. It will proceed in stages and require close consultation and cooperation with contractors who are moving the artifacts and Nova Scotia Museum staff who are charged with safeguarding them.

NOTE: AS PER ADDENDUM #1 Issued: Participants must have and wear a hard hat, safety boots and a high visibility safety vest.
