Posting Summary
The SMUD Commercial Greenergy® program is a voluntary renewable energy program (VREP) that allows customers to meet their electricity needs with power from renewable resources.
All commercial and industrial customers in SMUD service territory are eligible to participate in the Greenergy® program. Participants are listed on SMUD’s webpage as Greenergy® members and are advertised as a Clean PowerCity partner. Program charges are added to the customer’s SMUD electric bill as a separate line item.
Customers receive annual reports demonstrating their clean power commitment for their renewable purchases. SMUD’s Greenergy® program is audited and verified by Center for Resource Solutions’ Green-e® certification program for authenticity in renewable energy purchases and marketing claims.
SMUD’s Commercial Greenergy program began in 2001 and has nearly 900 (1.7%) SMB accounts enrolled in the program. A recent survey of eligible small business customers indicated that as much as 30% (or ~15,000) would participate if given the opportunity. SMUD’s Zero Carbon Plan (ZCP) aims to remove all greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 2030. This is the most aggressive GHG emission electric utility goal in the nation and will require customers’ participation in programs like Greenergy®. As a result of this Market Research and the ZCP, SMUD has an enrollment target of ~8,000 cumulative enrollments by 2026 and is seeking a contractor to assist in achieving this goal.

Questions & Answers
To whom it may concern, Caswood is interested in this bid and have 4 questions: 1. Will the target list be provided by SMUD? If so, how many targets do you have for the project through 2026? 3. If so, what contact information is provided on the contact list? 4. Will this BID be awarded to several suppliers or just one? Thank you.

• Will the target list be provided by SMUD? Yes
• If so, how many targets do you have for the project through 2026? I don’t know yet how many prospects we’ll have available for the contractor. I have a meeting with Jen Weedon tomorrow and I can ask her how many we have access to that aren’t being addressed by the SMB SAAs. If I have to guess before I know more, I will say between 20-35K.
• If so, what contact information is provided on the contact list? We will provide the contact information of the individual listed on the account (if available) or any phone number provided when the account was created. We will provide the business address.
• Will this BID be awarded to several suppliers or just one? Only one supplier
