National Retailer has launched a corporate wide initiative to improve our operating efficiencies which include the evaluation of our sourcing strategies for key expenditure categories. National Retailer ‘s Steel Storage, Shelving, and Locker Program supporting 140 stores has been identified as a category where an opportunity may exist to lower costs; improve our storage processes and enhance task efficiencies while improving our associate work environment.
The primary objective of this Sourcing Discovery is to enable the National Retailer to identify potential strategic Service Provider(s) to invite to participate in a Request for Information (RFI.) The Service Provider should currently provide Steel Shelving and Locker options to other Fortune 500 companies.
Typically, all National Retailer’s purchasing activities initiate from the corporate procurement level, with the Service Provider responsible for product recommendations, fabrications, delivery and final installation of components on site.
Product Expectations and Service Levels:
Services to be performed include but are not limited to customized product selection, tailored fabrication and installation of File Room and Business Office storage, Associate lockers, Janitorial Closet storage, Automotive Parts and Service Area supply storage including work benches and perforated panels. After market needs may include retrofit or replacement components.
Service Level:
Full service installation competence for retail outlets located in the contiguous United States. Work efforts require component products tailored to customer specifications with Just-in-Time delivery a critical aspect of the business expansion plan.
Documentation:
Storage and locker systems are the result of collaboration between selected vendor and National Retailer. Each work effort is tailored to the Retailer’s site needs. Purchases will fall under a national pricing agreement and be initiated by purchase order or work order. Selected vendor will receive 100% drawings from National Retailer via web site for each project, new or remodeling efforts.
