Posting Summary
TransLink and its subsidiary British Columbia Rapid Transit Company (also referred to as “BCRTC” or “SkyTrain”) are upgrading the BCRTC SkyTrain Customer and Operations Telecommunications (“SCOT”) System at the SkyTrain OMC, as the existing SCOT System is near the end of design life, the further planned expansion of SkyTrain requires an increase in the capacity of the SCOT System, and the SCOT System needs to be modernized to improve system resiliency and customer experience.  The upgrade will consist of building up a new system alongside the current system, and performing a staged migration and expansion of connected devices, while keeping the whole system in operation.
 
Project Summary    
The scope of Services described is part of Phase 2 of a multi-year, multi-phase upgrade program to modernize the SCOT System and enable continued expansion of the SkyTrain system.  


TransLink will separately procured a Design Consultant for Phase 2 to provide deliverables including, but not limited to the following:
 
Complete Preliminary design work
Concept of Operations
Systems Architecture Definition & Design Drawings System and Subsystem Requirements
Implementation Plans
Requirements Verification and Test PlansTechnical Content for Subsystem RFPs
