The intent of this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is to engage a qualified and experienced company to provide construction management services as agent for the Cape Breton Regional Municipality Healthcare Redevelopment, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS Clinical Services Addition. (the “Project”) on behalf of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Major Projects Division (“DTIR”) in accordance with the Agreement between the Province of Nova Scotia and the Construction Manager.

Proponent Information Session  
A non-mandatory information session will be provided to prospective proponents to highlight the RFP process and further education on the electronic submission requirements regarding the RFP process. The information session will be held at the following location and time:  
 

Date: October 10, 2019 11:00 AM  
Location:5161 George Street, Suite 600, 6th Floor, Halifax, Nova Scotia Room: 610 Blomidon Room  
 

Proponents who do not attend the information session will not be precluded from submitting a proposal. Prospective proponents planning to attend the information session should register and email the following information through the Ariba Sourcing Event Message Board no later than 4:00 p.m. on the business day prior to the information session:  
 

Attendee’s full name;
Job title; and
Company name  
 
For those who may have missed or would like to attend another Proponent Information Session, a GO-To- Meeting//Webinar has been scheduled for the following additional session:

The information session will be canceled if the RFP Contact does not receive confirmation of intention to attend from any prospective proponents by the deadline as noted above.

Site Assessment and Proponent Briefing  
A non-mandatory site assessment and proponent briefing will be provided to prospective proponents to ensure all parties are aware of the details and services expected of them.  Meeting will be held at the following location and time:

Location: CBRM Healthcare Redevelopment Boardroom, Suite 406, HealthPark,45 Weatherbee Road, Sydney, NS, B1M 0A1


Proponents who do not attend the site meeting will not be precluded from submitting a proposal. Prospective proponents planning to attend the meeting should register via the Ariba Sourcing Event Message Board by no later than 2:00 p.m. on the business day prior to the site assessment and proponent briefing.

Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Requirements – Prior to accessing the event content (RFP and Functional Programmes), Proponents will be required to complete and agree to the NDA within the event.  Once this section has been completed, the Province will review your submission. Pending approval, all approved Proponents will receive an email indicating approval and access to the remainder sections within the event.
