Request for Tender for The Toronto Botanical Gardens Building Mechanical Upgrades.
The work shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
· Replace two (2) existing indoor Air Handling Units with new.
· Replace two (2) existing outdoor Condensing Units with new.
· Provide BAS Control of the two (2) new Air Handling Units and two (2) new Condensing Units as noted in the Mechanical Drawings and Specifications.
· Remove existing electrical from the existing mechanical equipment. Provide new electrical to the mechanical equipment. Add fire alarm devices to suit the proposed mechanical work/upgrades.
· Make modifications/additions or replace existing services to suit the proposed scope of work.
· Perform upgrades to the existing building (roofing, fresh air/exhaust plenum etc.) as required to suit the proposed scope of work.
· Perform Hazardous Material Abatement to suit the Mechanical, Electrical and Architectural proposed work.
· Conduct all necessary inspections and site verifications at the shop drawing stage as stipulated on the Drawings/Specifications.
· Refer to the Mechanical, Electrical and Architectural Drawings for additional scope-of-work.

Site Viewing & WebEx Meeting


The site at 777 Lawrence Ave. East, Toronto will be accessible between 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday May 26th, 2020. Parking is available through the service entrance on the north side of the property only. There will be no tour of the facility but the mechanical rooms will be left open for viewing. It is recommended that bidders bring their own personal protective equipment and practice social distancing when on site.  Due to the Provincial and City requirements with respect to COVID-19, please be advised that we are not allowing more than 5 people to view the site at one time and we are only allowing 1 representative from each company.


Following the site viewing, a WebEx call will commence at 1:30pm, to review the tender requirements. It is encouraged that bidders both visit the site and attend the WebEx call for comprehensive understanding of the project.
