The Proposer shall provide all labor, material, and equipment required to perform the Service described as:   COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT CUSTOMER ACCOUNTSProposer shall provide the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) with the full range of collection agency services required to collect monies due SMUD on a variety of accounts through direct contact, through another agency, and through legal action as necessary. Compensation shall be on a contingency basis in accordance with the collection fee schedule established in the resulting contract. The proposer shall provide all labor, material, and equipment required to conduct effective collection activities for charged-off SMUD accounts submitted for collection agency action following SMUD’s own collection effort. Collection agency qualifications and description of services required are further described in this Section.  
SMUD currently assigns delinquent accounts to one outside collection agency. Services of a collection agency shall be to collect delinquent electric accounts including commercial, residential, agricultural, accident damage related accounts, and employee disability reimbursement, employee loans that were financed such as computer and student loans. It is SMUD’s intention to continue assigning to one collection agency who would also consider accepting secondary accounts. If the proposer is unable to provide the type, quantity, and quality of services specified in the contract, or to service SMUD’s reasonable requirements for the duration of the contract period, SMUD reserves the right to select an alternate or additional agency (s) to supplement the contracted services.
