SMUD is requesting bids to establish a five-year strategic alliance with one or more Pad-mount Switchgear suppliers to support SMUD personnel with a reliable and continuous supply of Pad-mount Switchgear.

The principle objective of this procurement is the vendor’s ability to deliver quality distribution switchgear to SMUD in an expeditious and efficient manner at the most economical overall cost to SMUD.  

Only bidders meeting the following minimum qualification should submit proposals:

                 
• No minimum order quantities
                 
• A strong national presence easily recognized nationwide
                 
• A full range of distribution switchgear products
                 
• International Standard Organization (ISO) Certification
                 
• A support system to provide assistance

Bidder to list five (5) customer references.  The references must include government or private industry accounts similar in scope to this bid request.  These references may be surveyed as to service only, not pricing or costs.  Survey questions would involve order processing, delivery, returns and credits.
