SMUD is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers to establish a five-year contract for pole line hardware and electrical supplies to support SMUD’s Warehouse Operations team.  The intent is that the successful Proposer(s) will provide SMUD with a reliable and continuous supply of quality pole line hardware and electrical supplies during the contract term.

GENERAL:

The Proposer shall supply pole line hardware and electrical supplies per SMUD specifications at the submitted delivery lead times and pricing in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposal (RFP) and to the SMUD Engineering Specifications attached herein.

Customer Service:

SMUD expects any shortage in material supply or plant outage would be communicated to SMUD within 24 hours of the issue being identified.

During emergency crisis, the Proposer will provide support personnel who shall be available during non-business hours to assist in the coordination and delivery of pole line hardware and electrical supplies to SMUD locations as requested.

Proposer shall provide such names and contact numbers at the beginning of this contract term and shall be responsible for any updates to these personnel.

SMUD expects the Proposer to provide regular quotes during the contract term to either add new line items or identify alternate materials (MPNs) to mitigate potential supply chain risks.

Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs):
SMUD intends to hold quarterly business reviews during the contract term to monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs), plan for joint process improvement efforts, and discuss industry trends.

SMUD expects the Proposer to attend these QBRs either virtually or in person, prepare relevant reports and other presentation materials, and present this information to SMUD.

Reporting:

SMUD expects the Proposer to provide weekly reports during the contract term to identify and provide updates for any outstanding orders.

SMUD intends to award one or more contracts for a not-to-exceed aggregate amount of $25,000,000 excluding sales tax.
